Chris Long serves as Head of Consulting at KPMG in the U.S., where he is responsible for leading growth and innovation in the firm’s US Consulting business.
He most recently served as leader of the Advisory Financial Services Practice, where he brought together industry expertise and leading technology to help clients navigate complex change and deliver measurable outcomes.
Chris brings a diverse background spanning both industry and consulting, with experience in senior technology and transformation roles at Merrill Lynch, where he served as Managing Director for Emerging Markets IT, and held leadership roles in finance technology and corporate treasury transformation. This combination of operator and advisor experience gives him a practical, execution-focused perspective on large-scale transformation.
Chris enjoys partnering with C-suite leaders to shape and deliver complex transformation programs from strategy through implementation. He is known for his hands-on approach and clear accountability, serving as a visible and engaged partner to clients throughout the lifecycle of major initiatives.
He has deep experience leading large, complex programs in financial services, including regulatory-driven transformations, finance and accounting modernization, and enterprise technology implementations. His work has focused on helping organizations simplify operations, improve control environments, and modernize core platforms to support growth and resilience.
Chris holds an engineering degree from Brunel University of London. He lives in Morristown, NJ.
