About Leona
Irish professional golfer Leona Maguire is a leading figure at the elite end of women’s golf, with 25 career Top 10 finishes and two LPGA Tour victories. She also made history as the first Irish woman to win on the Ladies European Tour, claiming the Aramco Team Series title in London in July 2024.
Most recently, Leona Maguire played a pivotal role in Team Europe’s success at the 2026 Solheim Cup, helping secure a memorable 15-13 victory and making history along the way. During the tournament, Leona became the fastest player ever to reach 10 and then 11 Solheim Cup match victories, further cementing her reputation as one of the competition’s standout performers. Leona also recorded a tied second-place finish at the 2026 Aramco Championship, reinforcing her consistency at the highest level of the game. Since joining the professional ranks, Leona’s career has gone from strength to strength. In 2022, she became the first Irish woman to win on the LPGA Tour, securing her maiden title at the Drive On Championship in Florida.
In 2023, a near-flawless final round performance saw her claim her second LPGA Tour victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Michigan. That same year, she played a key role in Europe’s success at the Solheim Cup, contributing to the team retaining the trophy following a 14–14 draw in Spain.
