      The KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be hosted at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club in 2027, marking another exciting chapter in the continued growth of the tournament and KPMG’s commitment to supporting women’s sport in Ireland.

      As preparations continue for this year’s championship at The K Club from 27 to 30 August 2026, organisers have confirmed that the 2027 tournament will take place at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club from 2 to 8 August 2027, bringing the elite women’s golf tournament to South Dublin coast for the first time.

      Located on a spectacular 320-acre site at Ballyman Glen, at the foot of the Sugarloaf Mountains, Dun Laoghaire Golf Club offers a stunning setting within easy reach of Dublin city and the wider commuter belt. Designed by internationally renowned golf course architect Martin Hawtree, the club’s award-winning course previously hosted the Curtis Cup in 2016 and provides a fitting stage for one of the leading events on the Ladies European Tour calendar.

      The announcement reflects the continued success of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, which has enjoyed growing attendances, strong Irish representation and increasing international recognition since its return in 2022. Through KPMG’s title sponsorship, the tournament has become an important platform for showcasing world-class women’s golf while inspiring greater participation in the sport across Ireland.

      2026 KPMG Women’s Irish Open

      The countdown is on to the 2026 KPMG Women’s Irish Open, taking place at The K Club for the first time from 27–30 August.

      Now firmly established as a standout event on the Ladies European Tour, the tournament continues to grow in both scale and reputation, most recently being voted Tournament of the Year by the players for two consecutive years. 

      This year promises to be bigger again, as the championship arrives at The K Club’s iconic Palmer South course, welcoming some of the world’s top players, including KPMG ambassador Leona Maguire, alongside Charley Hull, ranked number 3 in the world.

      2025 KPMG Women's Irish Open

      World no. 1 amateur Lottie Woad left pro golfers like Madelene Sagstrom, Charley Hull, Chiara Tamburlini and KPMG ambassador Leona Maguire in her wake to storm to a six-shot victory at the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

      Lottie holds a promising future on the LPGA Tour, Solheim Cups and major championships, and those who flocked outside the ropes of Carton House's O'Meara course caught a firm glimpse of her world-beating potential.

      There really is no difference between the top of the amateur game and the middle of the professional ranks in ladies' golf, and Lottie proved that and then some. Teeing off with a seven-shot lead, The Englishwoman produced a nerveless round of 69 and ended the week with just three bogeys.

      It was a question of how many she would win by rather than who could catch her, and her 21-under total is the second-lowest winning score behind Laura Davies. Lottie needs just two more points over the next few weeks to secure her LPGA Tour card via an amateur pathway, and her victory here earns her Ladies European Tour membership.

      "It felt really comfortable," said Lottie. "I think as soon as I birdied the second hole, nice 12-footer there, that settled me in and just hit a lot of good shots today. Maybe I didn't hole as many putts as the other days, but it was pretty stress-free in the end.

      “It means a lot. Obviously, had a big lead coming in today, but still had to you know, really focus and had been chased by some really good players. But yeah, happy to get it done.” 

      This was a procession by a woman who knows more than most how to perform on the big stage. She is a former Augusta National Women's Amateur champion and had a top-10 at the AIG Women's Open last year. Heading into next week's major at the Evian Championship, the Surrey native can certainly threaten another win.

      "I feel like I'm playing well. So hope to just continue that into next week," added Lottie who has no intention of turning professional after her breakthrough win. “I'm still trying to get my final two points for the LPGA, so just trying to get those. And then we'll, we'll see what happens after that.”

      Solheim Cup star Madelene Sagstrom claimed second place on fifteen-under-par with a final round of 68. Amelia Garvey was a shot further back in third. Star attraction Charley Hull closed with a 69 for fourth place on twelve-under while LET Order of Merit winner Chiara Tamburlini shared fifth on ten-under. Anna Foster led the Irish challenge in 12th on eight-under while Canice Screene secured a top-40 place and doubled her winnings for the season with a joint low round of the week 66 for two-under. KPMG brand ambassador Leona Maguire finished 48th on level-par after a 75. An incredible showcase of world-class golf.

The tournament had a total purse of $9 million, a 300% increase on the total purse prior to KPMG’s sponsorship of the event, with the winner receiving $1.35 million.

      Irish professional golfer Leona Maguire has been a KPMG ambassador since she turned professional in 2018 and we are committed to supporting her as she progresses to the next stages of her career.

      KPMG is also the title sponsor of the KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour, which is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 13 years old and features some of the best young golfers in Ireland.

      England’s Annabel Dimmock was the winner of the 2024 KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

      Annabel has an incredible story, in just her eighth tournament back since recovering from a career-threatening thumb injury, she claimed her second LET title, beating Pauline Roussin-Bouchard on the second playoff hole, the third playoff in a row at the Irish Open.

      Annabel commented after her triumph, ‘’This is brilliant to do it in Ireland. This feels really good. I am not going to lie. The fans out there, the people watching, have been amazing to me this week, and it was what I needed.''

      The KPMG Women’s Irish Open continues to be one of the shining lights of the LET schedule. There were more than 30,000 spectators that streamed through the gates throughout the week, with Saturday bringing a record one-day attendance of over 12,000 spectators.

      The 2023 KPMG Women’s Irish Open was won by Danish Native, Smilla Tarning Sønderby claiming her first LET Tour victory, overcoming Anne Van Dam and Nicole Broch Estrup in a nail-biting three-way playoff before striving to glory.

      The Championship venue in County Clare saw a record of over 31,000 people pass through the gates over the four days of the tournament. The crowds enjoyed following the array of talent out on the course, whilst taking in the breath-taking surroundings of Dromoland Castle.

      KPMG Ambassador Leona Maguire closed out the tournament with a one-under 71 to finish eight shots outside the play-off in a tie for 14th on eight-under. Leona birdied three of her first six holes, but chasing a round like Sønderby’s, her race was run after she three-putted the eighth for bogey.

      The 2022 KPMG Women’s Irish Open was won by Klara Spilková from the Czech Republic, claiming her first LET Tour victory in over five years, overcoming Ursula Wikström and Nicole Broch Estrup in a nail-biting playoff. 

      Having come agonisingly close to securing a spot in that playoff, Irish golfer and KPMG ambassador Leona Maguire will once again tee it up at Dromoland Castle as she seeks to become the first Irish winner of the event.

      The Cavan native missed out on the playoff by a single shot despite playing incredible golf over the weekend, including the lowest score of the 3rd round, a magnificent 65 (-7) which saw her charge up the leaderboard to sit just two shots off the pace going into the final round on Sunday. A final round 68 (-4) secured Leona a share of fourth place.

      The KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour is a nationwide competition played across some of Ireland’s top golf courses in Leinster, Ulster, Connacht & Munster. The tour aims to develop junior golfers on and off the course. This season, three outstanding players have emerged: Isabelle Mullen, Aimee Wilson, and Holly Shortall.

      The junior golfers have been selected to represent the KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour and will have the opportunity to play alongside a LET professional at the 2024 KPMG Women's Irish Open Pro-Am.
