Liran has over 15 years of experience in the field of credit risk with a focus on the quantification of credit risk. Much of Liran’s experience has involved auditing the IFRS 9 provisions, as well as supporting his client’s with IFRS 9 model builds and validation projects. His clients include Tier 1 and 2 banks and credit lenders, predominantly operating in South Africa. Much of Liran’s career has been in the consulting space.
Liran also headed the IFRS 9 Retail Impairments team at one of South Africa’s largest banks where he had overall responsibility for the retail IFRS 9 ECL models. Liran is currently a Partner in the credit risk and capital team at KPMG South Africa where he’s involved in and manages work across the credit life cycle.
