Atul is Partner with Advisory Services and is the Head of Consulting Markets and key strategic priorities for KPMG in India. In his current role, he leads Consulting Managed Services, Consulting GCC, and Consulting Large Deals.
Atul brings more than 25 years of experience with KPMG in India, spanning technology consulting, large-scale transformation programme and cyber security across India and international markets. He has consistently demonstrated his leadership by setting up large businesses which have scaled up with market-leading practice having end-to-end capabilities.
He spends most of his time in addressing the leadership/board level agenda on strategic priorities, technology and AI, addressing emerging challenges, evangelising new solutions and driving large-scale transformation programmes. With his extensive experience in the Telecom, Media and technology sectors, he leads the relationship with the Bharti Group.
Atul has extensive cyber and information security experience along with focus on IT governance, technical security, IT auditing and large IT project management. His experience is across a wide range of clients and industries, including Telecom, Financial Services, Technology, Energy and Industrial Markets. He has also worked with KPMG in the US and was involved in information security and audit engagements with large technology companies.
He contributes extensively through association with multiple industry bodies including NASSCOM, CII and CERT-In on developing thought leaderships and positioning ‘Being Trusted’ as a competitive differentiator. He has been regular on various global platforms including Global MWC, RSA Global and other key global technology platforms.
His other experience includes:
- IT Audit: multiple audits conducted for general IT controls environment and application controls
- Information security audit: extensive experience in carrying out security reviews and audits across banks and financial institutes
- IT Outsourcing including security operations: leading multiple engagements on strategic sourcing of IT and associated services with the overall objective of providing organisations efficiency and cost advantages
- IT Project Advisory: program management across engagements, including large IT transitions, large IT strategic projects (DC/ DR setup), migration from one service provider to another
- Business Continuity Management: including development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for multiple organisations.
